A major cache of weapons belonging to the Basque terrorist group ETA was found by French police near Paris last week. Four large buried containers held arms including rifles and revolvers. Investigators believe ETA members had gathered the weapons together ready to be handed over to the French authorities following their announcement five years ago to end the group’s armed struggle for Basque independence.
