A 72-year-old British man died on Lanzarote on Sunday morning after falling while walking near the dormant Montaña Roja volcano. He apparently suffered a heart attack and his body was recovered from an area of difficult access after his companions had attempted to resuscitate him. The walk up to and around the rim of the crater is popular with tourists.
