Three overhead power line towers between Camino de Coín and Avenida de Mijas in Las Lagunas are to be removed after the low-tension cables have now been run underground, said Mijas town hall last week. Officials said the measure will provide not only an aesthetic improvement but also a boost to safety, noting that one of the towers is right next to a residential building in Calle Río Verde.
