Spain received 4.9 million international tourists in March, 6.1% up on the same month last year. The INE said on Friday that Britons were the most numerous, making up 22.8% of the total, followed by French and Germans. They brought the total for the first quarter to 12.93 million, an increase of 9.3% on last year, with the Canary Islands as the most popular destination.
