Torremolinos’s festive four-day LGTBI pride event beginning last Thursday attracted some 40,000 people, up 30% from last year, according to local police estimates. Around 9,000 people turned out for the pride parade on Saturday, as six floats made their way from the town hall to Plaza de la Nogalera. The town hall reported hotel occupancy of over 90% during the four days.
