Málaga’s taxi-drivers are to go on strike twice this month. Firstly, a nation-wide protest is scheduled for February 18 between 11am and 1pm, against plans put forward by the National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC) to liberalise taxi licensing and introduce non-fixed pricing. And drivers in the city of Málaga will strike again on the date of the next full local council meeting, which is thought to be February 25, as they call for the council to accept regulations on the amount of hours a taxi can be in operation per day.
