The tax authority has already paid out €6.6 million in refunds to 10.8 million taxpayers who submitted claims for 2015. The Agencia Tributaria said that by the closing date last Thursday, 18.95 million tax returns had been received, 642,000 more than by the same time last year. Almost 15.9 million returns were submitted on-line, some 9% more than a year ago.
