Three Spaniards were arrested in Gibraltar last week in relation to alleged tobacco smuggling. Two of them, a man and woman, were detained after entering a tobacco retailer in the Casemates square area and coming out with two large holdalls containing 50 cartons of cigarettes, while the third, the shop manager, was arrested for breaches of conditions of the store’s tobacco retail licence.
