The Caminito del Rey cliff-side walkway at El Chorro last week received a ‘Biosphere’ sustainable tourism certification from the Responsible Tourism Institute, an international organisation that works in collaboration with Unesco. The certification recognises the responsible management of the Caminito as a tourism resource in a manner that is respectful to its natural, social and cultural environment.
