Spain’s Interior Ministry is investigating reports that the terrorist who drove the lorry in last week’s attack in Berlin had a contact in this country. He is known to have been in touch via the internet with an individual connected to Jihad who is based in Spain. Interior Minister Juan Ignacio Zoido said progress was top secret because of the enquiry’s highly sensitive nature.
