Over 200 billboards, hoardings and smaller signs have been removed from urban areas and roadsides in Estepona since a new bylaw regulating their placement was enacted in May of last year, said the town hall. The aim is to reduce visual clutter and remove all signs that don’t have municipal authorisation. Owners of unlicensed hoardings on private property have until December 31 to remove them or face fines.
