Investigations remain ongoing to determine if a man whose body was found floating in the sea in the Calahonda zone of Mijas on Saturday July 15 was an African immigrant who died while trying to reach Spain in a ‘patera’ raft. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition and the man appeared to be of African origin. Full autopsy results are awaited to determine the cause of death.
