Marbella’s former town planning councillor Juan Antonio Roca has been sentenced to a further 18 months in jail by a Málaga court, for siphoning money from the town’s desalination plant. He was found guilty of embezzlement and administrative malfeasance, and the sentence also includes a fine of 10.7 million-euros and 12 years disqualification from public office. Roca is currently in jail serving multiple sentences related to Malaya and other corruption cases.
