The Gibraltar government last week published a bill for an amendment to the Crimes Act to introduce a new offence of ‘revenge porn’, which officials say is based on the equivalent UK offence of “disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress”, introduced in 2015. The new Gibraltar offence will carry a maximum sentence of two years in prison.
