The village of Villaroya in La Rioja (population eight) broke its own record on Sunday when all six residents entitled to vote cast their ballots in the general election within one minute of the polls opening. Last year during the European parliament election, they needed two minutes to complete their voting. All six met at the polling station at 9.00am to break their record.
