A protest outside the Public Works Ministry in Madrid on October 11 has been proposed by a pressure group in Granada which has been without rail connections for 18 months. Members are likely to be joined by supporters from Jaén and Almería in complaining about rail services across eastern Andalucía. A recent march through Granada attracted a crowd of around 8,000.
