A 48-year-old man was found dead in his cell at Alhaurín de la Torre prison last Thursday afternoon. Reports say he had hanged himself using a bed sheet. The prison said the man had not been on suicide watch and had been well when his cell was checked by a warder two hours before his body was discovered.
