The UK’s new Prime Minister, Theresa May, is expected to hold a working lunch with Spain’s acting PM, Mariano Rajoy, at the Moncloa Palace in Madrid today, Thursday. The pair met earlier this year and agreed that neither Spanish nor British nationals would be prejudiced by the UK’s decision to quit the EU. Sr Rajoy has previously described himself as a “loyal friend” of Britain.
