Electric company Endesa is to invest €1 billion between 2018 and 2020 on upgrades to its distribution network in Andalucía, making up half of its nationwide investment of €2 billion, and achieving a 20% boost to the quality of service, says the company. Much of the spending will go toward digitalisation of the system, from digital meters to remote-controlled automation in the supply network.
