The mayors of Nerja and Frigiliana have agreed to share the use of an upgraded municipal dog pound in Nerja. Frigiliana does not have such a facility for stray animals and Nerja’s pound, located by the Chillar river 300 metres from the town centre, does not presently meet the requirements after years of neglect. A project is now planned to clean, improve and expand it.
