A trade union representing local police in Rincón de la Victoria has complained about the “appalling” condition of their equipment. The UPLB-A has told mayor Encarnación Anaya and security councillor Antonio Moreno that officers’ protective vests have passed their expiry date and that two of their vehicles have clocked up almost 300,000 kilometres. The cars, they add, would probably not pass an ITV test.
