A 51-year-old light aircraft pilot died when his plain crashed to the ground in Murcia on Friday evening. Witnesses alerted the emergency services after flames were seen coming from a site close to the San Javier air-strip near Cartagena. The victim was alone in the plane and an investigation has opened into the cause.
