Estepona town hall has saved 1.8 million euros on its phone bills since 2011, said officials last week, a savings achieved by doing away with some 110 mobile phone lines as well as securing cheaper phone and internet service after putting the contract out to tender in 2013. The total phone bill in 2011 was 660,000 euros, compared to the current annual bill of 217,000 euros.
