A Benalmádena resident is to represent her town, and Spain, at next month’s European Patchworking championships, which are being held in Birmingham on August 11-14. Oskana Mader will be one of only three people representing Spain at the Festival of Quilts event, which could lead to participation in the world championships in Houston. The town’s culture councillor, Elena Galán, said that Mader should take a municipal flag of the town to the event.
