Five former workers at the defunct CIOMijas hotel and leisure industry school had a major year-end boost after the Junta de Andalucía last Friday paid them 34 of the 36 outstanding paycheques they were owed, totalling an average of around €36,000 per worker. They were the last employees kept on at the centre and went unpaid from November 2014 to August 2017.
