The mayor of Cañete la Real, Pilar Jurado, announced last week that the 16-year-old local teenager who fell almost 60 metres into Ronda’s Tajo gorge two months ago has been signed off by doctors at Málaga’s Hospital Regional Carlos Haya. The teenager had been a patient there since June 16, and must now begin rehabilitation after undergoing back surgery. Sra Jurado said the village will be throwing him a ‘welcome home’ reception.
