The opening of Nerja’s new botanical gardens to the public is reported to have been delayed further by an adverse report from municipal technicians. The gardens close to the caves in Maro were completed two years ago, financed by €3 million of European cash. Problems apparently include a lack of emergency lighting and fire extinguishers, as well as accessibility issues.
