A new study says 17% of people think drivers should have their licences withdrawn by their families when they reach age 65, while almost 30% believe older drivers are dangerous on the road. The survey of 1,700 drivers by the Linea Directa Foundation also revealed that 60% believe existing psychometric tests are “lax.” However, according to Tráfico, most over-65s involved in accidents are pedestrians.
