Manilva has a new mayor after a successful no-confidence vote last Friday against PSOE mayor Diego José Jiménez, who has now been replaced by Mario Jiménez of the Compromiso Manilva (CM) party. The ouster was supported by 12 of the council’s 17 members, representing all parties on the council except the PSOE, whose five councillors voted against it.
