Municipal workers at Nerja’s museum joined the town’s mayor and other councillors in observing a minute’s silence on Monday in memory of Ana María Márquez. She had recently become director of the museum when she died after being stabbed 131 times by her partner at her home in Torrox Costa on August 8, 2014. Miguel Martínez Alba is serving 24 years for her murder.
