Avenida Carlos Haya in Málaga is to return to its former name of Camino de Antequera. Monday’s council meeting approved the change despite opposition from the PP who asked for the matter to be referred to the Historical Memory Commission. The street’s name dates from 1782 but was changed in 1940 to honour a hero of the Franco era.
