The New York Times has named Málaga as one of its 52 places to visit in 2016. It refers its readers to the three “great” museums in the city: the Pompidou Centre, the St Petersburg Museum and the Carmen Thyssen collection. Málaga, it says, traditionally linked to the beach, now has the balance of attractions which make it a “cultural city.”
