The Health Department has confirmed an outbreak of mumps in Coín, with 24 recent cases among people aged 20 to 30, plus several isolated cases in Málaga city. As a precaution, vaccinations are being given to family members or people in close contact with those affected. A mumps jab is included in Andalucía’s vaccination schedule for infants, at the age of one with a booster at age three.
