A 37-year-old Málaga man was detained by police on Saturday after allegedly beating up his 62-year-old mother and confining her to her house for six days. She escaped while he was sleeping and raised the alarm. The victim was taken to hospital suffering from multiple bruising and scratches on her body while her son is being charged with attempted murder, illegal detention and ill-treatment.
