Benalmádena’s council has launched a new service to offer help and advice to locals who want to make claims on abusive ‘floor clause’ mortgages, which set a fixed minimum interest rate on variable rate loans, and mortgage set-up costs. The service is available on Mondays from 10am-12pm, at the council’s public assistance office in Plaza Pueblosol. Those wanting advice must bring with them both the mortgage deed and invoices.
