The enlargement of the Virgen de la Peña car park in Mijas Pueblo has come a step closer after the town hall last week put out to tender the €180,000 contract to draw up the design plans. The project is expected to add between 200 and 250 parking spaces to the roughly 500 existing ones. No date has been set for construction, but the town hall says it has funds budgeted and aims to start work “as soon as possible”.
