Fuengirola town hall announced last week that a total of €30,000 is to be spent on providing medication from pharmacies free of charge to some of the town’s poorest families. The amount being spent on the scheme is €10,000 more than last year. A town hall statement said that although it is not responsible for “health matters”, an effort is being made to “help families who do not have the resources to acquire basic medicines”.
