Benalmádena’s local council have opened negotiations on a new agreement with the town’s amusement park, Tivoli World, over the continued use of a plot of land owned by the park for Benalmádena’s Friday market. The old accord permitting the market has expired, and the town’s mayor, Victor Navas, said that if Tivoli World decided to use the plot for something else, such as a park expansion, the market would have to be moved.
