A female lynx that was released into the wild in January as part of the Life Iberlince repopulation programme for the endangered species was found dead in the Las Cumbres area of Villafranca de Córdoba last week. After the wildcat’s tracing collar had shown that it was immobile, Iberlince staff searched for and discovered the body, which was found to have 35 shotgun pellets in it.
