Benalmádena’s town hall announced last week that it has calculated the cost of damages caused by an oil platform that broke free from a tugboat during bad weather last April and ran aground a local nudist beach to be €1,000. The amount covers damage to the beach and the cost of extra surveillance, that was needed as the platform became a popular temporary tourist attraction before it was refloated.
