The Ministry of Economy has lifted the government-mandated austerity plan that Marbella town hall has been operating under for the last four years, said local officials last week. The move comes after the town hall in September paid off its €19 million of private debt, and will give the council greater budget flexibility and the ability to fill some jobs left vacant due to retirements.
