National Police officers have seized ten tons of Japanese clams, harvested in Portugal and imported illegally to Spain. A criminal organisation is believed to have been responsible for the produce brought from contaminated coasts in Portugal to wholesalers in northern Spain. A number of individuals are being investigated for offences including illegal fishing, false documentation, and money laundering.
