The new access road to the Hospital Comarcal in Vélez-Málaga is set to open shortly. The 800 metre carriageway, which connects the hospital site to Avenida Juan Carlos I in the area of the tranvía tram garage, is reported to be more than 90 per cent complete. The €944,000 project is also intended to reduce congestion in the neighbouring El Tomillar urbanisation.
