A man who set his own home on fire in Benalmádena has been sentenced to a year in jail and five years probation by a Málaga court. The fire-starter, who suffers from bipolar disorder, had split from his wife prior to the incident in December 2008. It is thought that the man set ítems around the home alight, including a wardrobe and mattresses, causing the blaze which was extinguished by fire-fighters.
