Marbella town hall is working to develop regulations on the use of homes as holiday rentals. Mayor Ángeles Muñoz announced the move at a meeting with the Aehcos hoteliers association, saying the aim is to regulate “where and how” such holiday lets are allowed to operate, in order to “prevent unfair competition with hotels as well as over-saturation in certain areas” and negative impacts on residents.
