HM Customs and Royal Gibraltar Police vessels pulled 42 bales of hashish from the sea last Wednesday, after a local fishing vessel raised the alert. The drugs weighed a total of 1.26 tonnes, with an estimated street value of £6.3 million, while Guardia Civil vessels recovered an additional 12 bales. Hashish seizures off the Rock have totalled 4.4 tonnes this year, valued at over £22 million.
