An earthquake of intensity 2.3 kilometres recorded on Sunday afternoon had its epicentre at Gojár, 10 kilometres south of Granada. The earth movement was 12 kilometres below ground level and prompted several calls to the emergency services. The tremor followed a 4.2 incident last Thursday between Málaga and Sevilla which was felt in Córdoba, Fuengirola and Málaga city.
