The cost of the 12.5 kilo orange gas bottles, used in eight million Spanish homes, rose in price by 4% to €11.72 on Tuesday. It was the first rise since January last year since when prices have steadily fallen. The price is revised every other month to take into account fluctuating costs but cannot vary by more than 5% in either direction.
