The price of bottled gas rose by 5% to €14.80 on Tuesday. It is the fifth consecutive price increase which has resulted in the eight million homes using butane for cooking and heating now paying 15% more than at the start of the year. The government reviews the price every two months taking into account the price of raw materials, transportation and exchange rate variations.
