Nerja’s new botanical gardens will be open before summer, according to the Junta’s Málaga delegate José Luis Ruiz Espejo. Speaking in the town on Friday, he said “some technical difficulties” had prevented an opening licence being issued. The €3 million project at the site of the caves complex in Maro was financed by the Environment Ministry and was completed three years ago.
